The Hawaii Parents Special Education Advisory Council (HIP SEAC)

The Hawai’i Parents Special Education Advisory Council (HIP SEAC) is a nonprofit corporation that was registered in the State of Hawaii on July 6, 2011. It is an information and advocacy network of families, professionals and paraprofessionals who are committed to protecting the educational rights of children and their families in the State of Hawai'i.

HIP-SEAC is committed to facilitating the authentic parent voice on behalf of students eligible under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), 20 U.S.C. §§1400 et seq., and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, 29 U.S.C. § 794. HIP-SEAC supports activities based on research, policy review and development.
